Overwhelmed
Posted on July 24th, 2008At the start of the day, I didn’t have any problem with my transport to school (refer to this post to understand).
I was so early, and I had a reason. I wanted to finish my Mechanics homework.
I wasn’t done until my friends came. We were supposed to pass it this morning (7:30am), but you know what? Our teacher (the one with the attendance issue) didn’t come to our class. We did our best to finish our work as soon as possible but he didn’t come to collect them.
We were also supposed to have a test in our Thermodynamics class (actually, it’s unsure since our teacher told us last meeting that maybe he’ll give us a test) but he discussed more examples about our lesson instead.
Then this afternoon, my friends and I were supposed to have some little Japanese lessons (unofficial, c/o me) but something happened that made us unable to do it. You see, my friend Jo has a crush in school (actually, many
). And this crush of hers was sitting beside her (together with Leslie and Jeff) at our tambayan (we’re not classmates in Thermo since they took it in advance last summer). Then, my other friends Shalee and Suyin sat on the other side of Jo’s crush, meaning, he was at the middle.
Aimee and I were at the canteen just across our under-the-tree tambayan to eat our lunch.
The two of us were just observing them. And the interaction began. Jo’s crush was already talking to them!
When Aimee and I finished our lunch, we went back to the group and joined in the chat. We actually had fun talking to him! His name is Josef. He’s the kind who wouldn’t hold back on what he’s saying. We can tell that he was really being himself at that time. We learned so much about him! It’s like he’s been our friend for a long time! Nyahahaha! Jo’s lunch time is gonna be exciting from now on. And yeah, she even bought a lotto ticket after that! Before daw mag-expire ang kanyang swerte!
Later that afternoon, Sau, another friend of ours, approached us (long story), bringing his DSLR camera.
I, being an ignorant one, was so excited to borrow it! It was actually my first time to hold and use a DSLR cam (pardon my ignorance)!
I was used to using a point-and-shoot cam so nanibago ako sa DSLR.
It was amazing! I took a lot of shots just for me to absorb the feeling of being able to actually use it.
Sau said I have potentials (duh, I’m not new to photography, hehehe), the way I handle the camera. He invited me to join his organization (I think he meant the photography org of our school) but I hesitated. I told him I didn’t have a professional cam, but he said a point-and-shoot cam would do. But I had no intentions of joining anyway. It’s because the actual place of the org is at the USC Main Campus, and I’m in the Talamban Campus.
I was overwhelmed by the DSLR! I want one! It’s actually in my wish list. Because of it, I’m addicted to photography again! Nyahahaha!
The Time

In the morning, we had our class in Material Science. We now have a new teacher. Our previous teacher had conflicts with the schedule so another instructor was needed. Had there not been an available one, the subject would have been dissolved. Good thing Engr. Donn Embalzado accepted the offer (he was our teacher in Environmental Science last semester).
Anyway, we really didn’t have a formal class. We were just asked to go to the library to do some research and submit a paper work.
I offered to cut the plastic bottle open for our container but accidentally cut the skin on my pinky finger! I went to the clinic to get it treated.

For the 4th time (birthday celebration)! Sarap eh! It’s Jo’s treat for us for her birthday (last July 10). Thanks, Jo!

It didn’t matter to me that much since I liked the discussion. I mean I liked the way our teacher discussed the topic. Very detailed. I like him as a teacher! Too bad he’s got issues with his attendance. Nyahahahaha.
