Pinhole Glasses

Up until now, I still have a very clear eyesight. 20-20 vision, I could say. But I just could not forget the time when I was kind of addicted to eyeglasses. Well, not really that I had a lot. In fact, I had none. I just really wanted to wear a pair! I don’t know what had gotten into me when I was in that phase. I was still so young at that time, by the way. So I was willing to do anything just to have a pair of eyeglasses. I remember I was trying so hard to ruin my eyesight (not by poking my eyes with something sharp)! I even told my mom I wanted her to buy me one. But she said I don’t need it. And she tried to discourage me by saying it’s kind of a hassle wearing eyeglasses around. It’s just now that I’m already old that I realized it really is a hassle because you have to be conscious that you are wearing something on your eyes. It might fall and break or whatever if you’re acting like you have a perfect vision.

But just recently, I have read about something better than the traditional pair of eyeglasses. It’s the pinhole glasses. You thought I was gonna say contact lenses, right? Well, it has its advantages. It’s small and can be carried around in the pocket. But it’s not really guaranteed safe. It can irritate the eyes. I have a friend who has been wearing contact lenses and one time, her eyes went red. She could hardly open her eyes because it’s itching. I don’t want that to happen to me. Anyway, pinhole eyeglasses have a lot of advantages. First, it’s light. Who wouldn’t want that, eh? Second, it corrects your bad eyesight, regardless of the distance. Third, it increases the brightness of the objects you see. Fourth, it’s very durable! And fifth, it’s very affordable!
